Mr. Morrison possesses demonstrated expertise in both Pharmacy Benefit Management and Medical Banking by having created successful, innovative products and marketing strategies in both industries.
He serves as the President of Medical Banking Rx, LLC, (MBRx), a firm that provides a HIMSS award-winning medical banking solution, Patient Driven Rx℠, specifically designed for the healthcare industry to remove the deficiencies that currently exists when the patient bears the full financial responsibility for the health care provider's reimbursement, and MedConfirmation℠, a patent-pending real-time messaging solution which enables consumers to audit health care providers for: 1) claims submission, 2) adjudicated charges at the point of service, and 3) their claim reversal actions, if any, to prevent claim adjudication circumvention. Additionally, MedConfirmation℠, a service that enables healthcare claim processors to send real-time messages to consumers under all types of health plans and programs to communicate relevant information to them.
Mr. Morrison served as the Founder and CEO of Remettra, a firm he developed to design and implement software for healthcare electronic payment and remittance advice distribution that many consider to be the firm that pioneered medical banking services for payers, the software Personix, a Fiserv company, is using in production today.
Mr. Morrison is the former Vice President and Director of Health Care Solutions at The Bancorp Bank; consultant to both Intuit and WJM, Inc., a consulting and PBM product development firm; Director of Special Programs and member of the Board of Directors of Pharmacy Associates, Inc., a full service pharmacy benefit management and consulting firm; and Executive Vice-President of the Louisiana Pharmacy Services corporation. He also served three years as the President of the Medical Banking Institute.
He has served on the HIMSS Medical Banking Project Advisory Council, as well as serving on the HIMSS Business Centered Systems, HIMSS Financial Systems and Medical Banking Health/Wealth Platform Task Force, and the HIMSS Financial Systems and Medical Banking Privacy and Security Task Force.
He is a former member of the HIMSS Financial Systems Steering Committee, Association for Electronic Health Care Transactions, HIMSS Financial Banking and Healthcare Task Force, HIMSS Medical Banking Project Accreditation Review Council, Medical Banking Project Workflow Automation Council, Medical Banking Project HIPAA Compliance Workgroup, Medical Banking Project HSA Workgroup, American Bankers Association (ABA), NACHA - the Electronics Payments Association, NACHA/ABA Banking Industry HIPAA Task Force, America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), and Self-Insurance Institute of America (SIIA).
Mr. Morrison is considered an industry expert in medical banking, the author of several industry related “white papers” and has responded to many invitations for presentations in his areas of expertise.

Dr. Morrison received his B.S. degree in Pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University.
He serves as Chairman, Board of Directors of Medical Banking Rx, LLC, (MBRx) a financial services firm providing specialized services to healthcare claims processors; Professor Emeritus, College of Pharmacy, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences; and as a consultant to various public and private organizations.
Dr. Morrison was the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, Director of Non‑Traditional Programs, and Professor of Pharmacy Administration at the College of Pharmacy, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences; Chairman, Board of Directors of Pharmacy Associates, Inc., the Arkansas based pharmacy benefits management and consulting firm, which he designed and developed; Chairman, Board of Directors of Remettra, Inc., an electronic payment and remittance distribution firm; and the first Executive Director of the National Institute for Standards in Pharmacist Credentialing.
He is a former member of the Editorial Board of Health Care Innovations; President of the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Pharmacists Association, the Arkansas Family Planning Council, the Arkansas Health Systems Foundation, the Arkansas Emergency Medical Services Council, the Section of Teachers of Pharmacy Administration of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy and the Arkansas Health Plan Development Committee. He also is a former member of the Arkansas Medicaid Advisory Committee, the Governor's Committee on Health Statistics, the Advisory Council of the DHEW Region VI Center for Health Planning, the Educational Affairs Council of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, and the Education and Resolutions Committees of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. Dr. Morrison has served as a member of the Long Range Planning Committee of the Arkansas Health Department and as a member of the Board of Directors of the South Central Regional Chapter of the American Association of Preferred Provider Organizations.
Dr. Morrison's research and practice interests were in managed care pharmacy practice and disease state management; and since his retirement, he developed the College’s proposal to provide the Arkansas Medicaid program with an evidence based medicine program, has been employed as a pharmacy benefits consultant by the University of Arkansas System and by the UAMS College of Pharmacy to provide pharmacy benefit consultative services to the Employee Benefits Division (EBD) of the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (State employees and teachers) pursuant to a proposal he developed for the College to provide a variety of services to EBD.
